Our latest Bite Size Plays production will feature two short comedies and a one act comedy written by Tony Domaille, at The Swan Thornbury, Grace Care Centre Thornbury, and Oldbury Memorial Hall.
'Early Grave' - A man gets a surprise visit from an undertaker.
'The Importance of Peaches' - Southbury's AmDram group is on the point of folding. Can anything save them?
'Members of the Jury' - A wicked pantomime queen is on trial for her cr9mes and you are the jury!
The Swan has sold out four weeks before production, so make sure you get your tickets for Oldbury early - they sell fast!
We opened the Bristol One Act Festival 27th February 2025 at The Olympus Theatre, Bristol. BS34 8LP with Tony Domaille's original drama 'I Know a Place' featuring Alex Nixon, Phil Domaille, Sarah Cully Morgan and Sarah Wiggins.
'This was a beautifully chilling opening to our festival. You kept us on tenterhooks as the the story unfolded and ticked by. Would Lucy be found dead or alive? 'This was an extremely competent piece of theatre, very nicely directed and presented by this talented group.' (Jan Palmer Sayer - GoDA)

Then we appeared on the opening night of the Avon Short Play Festival on 6th March at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall. That performance collected more nominations and awards -

We went on to represent Avon in the Regional Final at the Merlin Theatre, Frome on 17 May where we were delighted by audience and adjudicator reactions to the play.
A radio version of the play also featured on Thornbury Radio in May, completing a successful run.
The script for 'I Know a Place' won the UK Community Drama Festivals Federation Geoffrey Whitworth Award for Best Original Script. This is the third time one of Tony Domaille's scripts has won the award after 'Normal For' in 2022 and 'Even Numbers' in 2023.
The play had a rehearsed reading at the British One Act Final in Lichfield where Tony was presented with the award.
